Biography
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I received my Masters in Social Work at USC. I was a clinical supervisor at the Glen Roberts Child Study Center in Glendale, and the Child and Family Guidance Center in Northridge.

My work within the geriatric community at Jewish Family Service sensitized me to the needs and realities of the aging population. I've worked as a consultant in Adult Day Health Care facilities, and as a crisis and grief counselor in schools. I have spoken to a number of community groups about parenting adolescents.

My articles about overcoming depression, the healing power of humor, and transforming suffering into meaning have been published in the national newspaper, The World Tribune.

Philosophy
I believe that life is about relationships – with our family and friends, our work, community, our spiritual source, and ultimately, ourselves. The therapeutic relationship is unique; it’s important to find “the right fit” between you and your therapist.

My goal is to help you through your journey by providing a safe, non-judgmental, nurturing environment. My style of therapy is characterized by warmth, humor, and directness. I listen intently and interact compassionately. And along the way there can be laughter, and cool quotes like this one:
